CCC To Host Listening Session for Ocean Management Planning DCPC

BARNSTABLE COUNTY, MA — The Cape Cod Commission will host a meeting open to invited stakeholders and groups interested in planning for development in Cape Cod waters. The ‘listening session’ is scheduled to receive oral and written feedback on the scope of the issues to be addressed in the pending “Plan for Managing Limited Ocean-based Development.” The area to be affected by that plan is the Ocean Management Planning DCPC (District of Critical Planning Concern) designated last April by Barnstable County.

The Commission staff-led, informal session will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Tilden Arts Center at the Cape Cod Community College.

FY 2011 Tax Bills

 Fiscal Year 2011 Real Estate & Personal Property Tax bills are due Wednesday, November 17, 2010 (30 days from the issue date of October 18, 2010).

The Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2010 is $6.94 per thousand. The time period this bill covers is from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 (Fiscal Year 2011). You are taxed according to the status of your property as of January 1, 2010.

Property Reassessment for FY2011

The Brewster Board of Assessors has completed its comprehensive reassessment of all classes of property in the Town of Brewster in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 56. Printouts with the preliminary FY 11 assessments will be available for taxpayer review at the Brewster Town Hall Assessors Office, the Brewster Ladies Library and the Council on Aging during normal business hours as well as on our website.

Flu Clinic 10/20/10

The Brewster Board of Health will conduct a Flu Clinic as an Emergency Dispensing Site Drill in cooperation with the Visiting Nurse Association, the Council on Aging and the Local emergency Planning Committee on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM at Our Lady of the Cape Church Parish Center, 456 Stony Brook Road, Brewster. YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE AT www.ccmedicalreservecorps.org/vaccination-clinics . The B-Bus will be available to drive people to the clinic.
